Carbon Fibre Calibra Turbo
This is the page dedicated to my current work in progress, a Calibra Turbo. This car was brought for £2500, had one owner from new and had a full Vauxhall service history. It was brought as a good standard base ready for me to start modifying it. After only a week of ownership the engine threw a rod through the block, making the car unusable until a new engine was built. The plan was to make this car into more of a 'wolf in sheep's clothing', with the exterior staying quite standard, and the engine being tuned. The addition of carbon fibre in the engine bay would draw the show crowds.
After nearly a year in progress the engine was finally built, and popped back in the car. The engine spec is below, and as usual was built to a blue print. The 4x4 problem was fixed, and found to be due to a faulty ECU, and fully tested on many roundabouts:).
FUTURE MODIFICATIONS
These include a larger intercooler, and EDS Phase 2-3 software, De-cat pipe, and custom single box exhaust, 17-18in Wheels, Uprated drilled and grooved brake disks, possibly larger calipers, and the carbon fibre engine detailing.
